Woman doing yogaMental Health Reminders

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our lives in so many ways. It’s natural to feel stress and anxiety during this time. This is an important reminder to continue to be easy on yourself and others. We all have challenges that can be stressful and overwhelming at times. Learning to deal with stress in a healthy way is a great tool and can help you be more resilient.

  • Take a break. Try to limit how often you read, watch or listen to the news. Disconnecting can be a nice break both emotionally and physically.
  • Connect with others. Reach out to your friends and family. Text, call or jump on a virtual meeting if you are not able to connect in person yet.
  • Take care of yourself. Find ways to relax and unwind. Try meditation, yoga or deep breathing exercises – all good relaxation techniques to calm your mind and body. Get plenty of rest.
  • Be healthy. Eat extra fruits and vegetables to boost your energy, mood and immune system. Keep your body moving on a daily basis. Take a walk with your loved ones. Or try out a new fitness class online or in-person.

Did You Know?

When you receive care, you and your health plan usually each pay some of the cost. This is called cost sharing. Check your coverage document on your secure member site (listed on the back of your Medica ID card) for how the cost is determined and divided up.

Deductibles, coinsurance and copayments are all examples of cost sharing and describe an amount that may apply when you receive care. See the Deductibles, Copayments and Coinsurance member tip sheet to learn more. If you have questions, call Customer Service at the number on the back of your Medica ID card.
