The Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) requires health insurers to report plan-specific prescription drug spending and medical cost data annually to the U.S. Departments of Health and Human Services, Labor, and Treasury in order for them to do analysis and issue public reports on prescription drug pricing costs and trends.
